The Australian Body Art Festival is Australia’s premier body art event, attracting artists and spectators from across Australia and overseas. Inspiring artworks, street performers, market stalls and lots of fun all weekend!
The event is being held in Cooroy on Saturday 7 April and Sunday 8 April. The 2018 theme is “Wild Things” which lends itself to a wide range of interpretations for artists.
This event is a ‘A Festival of Colour’ centred on competitions in full body painting (temporary art – not tattoo) with competitions in the categories of brush and sponge, airbrush, special effects and face painting. The event also showcases competitions and exhibitions in wearable art and photography. For members of the public, it will be nothing short of phenomenal to watch the human canvases take shape during the competitions.
For artists, registrations are now open for all Australian Body Art Festival competitions. Visit www.australianbodyart.com.au for more info, competition registration and online bookings.
For spectators, the event is FREE and it is a visual feast for the senses. Visit the website for all the latest information, sign up to receive eNewsletters in the lead-up to the event. The event also has a Facebook page: Australian Body Art Festival.
