The ‘March for Justice’ sent a strong message in Perth on Sunday with more than 100,000 people expected to attend rallies across Australia today.
Protesters are calling for an end to gender violence and action for the Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
The four immediate actions the activists are pressing for include independent investigations into gender violence allegations and a gender equality act which would include an audit of parliamentary practices.
The prime minister wants a meeting behind closed doors and said protections, resources and programs need to be used to change the system.
However, protest organisers say they would like Mr Morrison to attend the rally in Canberra.
