Bill was a prominent student in the period immediately after World War II. In 1948 he was a Probationary Prefect, the Captain of Berthon House and a winner of the Citizenship Prize. He was also the Athletics Open Champion of the School for that year.

He served as President of the Old Haileyburians Association from 1972-1974, and was a member of the School Council from 1976-1982.

Bill was a gentleman whose caring and supportive nature was appreciated by all who knew him.

Our sincere sympathies are extended to his wife Kathleen and his family.
