Mobile Centrelink to assist people in regional areas
HELP is on its way for people with Centrelink or Medicare questions or problems, especially those who have difficulty getting to Gympie.
Like a Centrelink or Medicare office on wheels, the mobile service centre, Kangaroo Paw will be in Tiaro, near the Foodworks store in Mayne St, from 9am to 4pm on Friday and will be visiting Kilkivan, Wondai, Nanango and Kenilworth the following week.
It will be in Kilkivan on Monday, in front of Kilkivan Hall in Bligh St from 10am to 4pm; Wondai on Tuesday, in front of the council chambers at Scott and Mackenzie Sts from 9am to 4pm; Nanango on Wednesday, next to the courthouse in Henry St from 9am to 3.30pm and Kenilworth on Thursday, near Kenilworth Town Park in Charles St, from 10am to 3.30pm.
The centre will offer help on a full range of federal benefit issues, including new Centrelink claims, birth certificates, farmers payment entitlements, social work support, child support payments and free hearing health checks.
