Young athletes wanting more

ONCE an athlete breaks through for a taste of success it’s all to easy to develop an insatiable hunger for more.

This is the case for six Gympie athletes from the Gympie Amateur Athletics Club to have returned home from the recent Queesland State Amateur Athletics Titles in Townsville.

The athletes included: Josh Bull, Dean Bull, Codaey Brown, Tamika McClintock, Matthew Grant and Jessica Hurrell.

The Gympie Amateur Athletics Club is extremely proud of the group’s efforts, ensuring the best of finishes to the club’s season.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish with all this success,” proud mum and club member Christine McClintock said.

Gympie Amateur Athletics takes a break now until the end of August when a new season is unveiled at Albert Park.

The six athletes, however, will be able to continue hunting for more success by competing in school athletics.
