Alleged gunman to front court for Yamanto robbery

IPSWICH detectives have arrested and charged a man over the armed robbery of a Yamanto service station.

A hooded offender armed with a handgun raided the Oz Fuels shop on the Cunningham Hwy in the early hours of March 11.

It will be alleged that at about 12.20am the man made threats while brandishing the gun, demanding cash and cigarettes.

Police this week charged an 18-year-old Willowbank man with armed robbery.

The charges will be heard before Ipswich Magistrates Court.
