Woodies continue onslaught

C GRADE kicked off Round 8 last week with some fierce competition.

Staminadors defeated Farside convincingly in a game while Serves U Right defeated CYA by a set in another match.

The B grade competition saw High Flyers overcome SWAT Team convincingly with some strategic setting and consistent serving.

Pythons defeated The Edge 3-0. Some highlights of the game included some determined supportive play by Edge team-mates.

Beez defeated Corvette Cruisers 2-1 while What The! and Nuff Said each took a set after an injury time-out at the beginning of the game.

A grade games this week saw Served With Ice becoming the latest victims of the Woodies team, going down 2-1.

Aces tried hard to overcome the Hookers team without any success, the game ending 3-0 to Woodies.

During the school holidays, the women’s competition takes a break, so no results this week.

The association would like to remind all members who have small children that it is necessary that their children are suitably supervised while their parents are on the court.

Please keep all small balls and other toys outside, away from the courts, as a random tennis or handball entering a game underway could cause injury.

Please do not be offended if hazardous items/toys are taken from children by a committee member if they are at risk of entering a game in progress.
