Woman charged with stabbing other woman in "disturbance"

A WOMAN will face court today, charged with wounding a 33-year-old who she allegedly stabbed in her forearm.

Police arrived at a unit in Surfers Paradise at about 4.30pm after the two women became "involved in a disturbance" at a unit on Paradise Island on the Gold Coast.

She was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was detained by police near the scene.

A 41-year-old Surfers Paradise woman has been charged with wounding and enter dwelling with intent.

She is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
