Earth moving equipment brought in to help against wildfire

UP to 50 fire fighting personell are on scne of a wild fire burning through fuel dense area at Amamoor, north-west of the Sunshine Coast.

A Department of Community Safety spokeswoman said the first Triple Zero calls came in about 12.25pm, reporting the fire on Moore House Gully Rd.

"Property owners reported fires were moving towards them," she said.

Local earth moving equipment is being brought in to help create fire breaks.

The blaze is close to plantation forestry.

There are no properties under threat.
