Widgee pony club dresses for success at great Kilkivan ride

IT WAS a proud moment for Widgee and District Pony Club when eight members collected the trophy for the Best Presented Pony Club at the Great Kilkivan "Fabian Webb Memorial" Horse Ride last Saturday.

Six members had ridden in the 30th Anniversary Ride, taking the Rossmore Trail.

This year's ride, honouring the memory of Fabian Webb, was very special for the club as Fabian was a founding member from their very humble beginnings in 1987.

"The club continues to thrive and has emerged from its chrysalis into one of the more prosperous and flourishing clubs in the region," supporter Lynlie Cross said of the achievement.
