Widgee hosting music legends

THE campers have already started to arrive at Thornside, and opening act Graeme Jensen couldn't be happier.

The Theebine country music singer said it was an honour to be opening the Widgee Thornside Country Music Muster this Friday. Graeme is just one of long line-up of country music stars performing at Widgee.

He will join Graeme Connors, Tania Kernaghan, Jade Hurley, Travis Collins, Jayne Denham and Markus Meier, just to name a few.

"It feels pretty amazing, it's an honour to be the first cab off the rank, so to speak," Graeme said.

"It is great to be at the original site ... it's very special and I hope it all keeps going," he said.

Graeme said it would be the first time he had played in front of the natural amphitheatre at Thornside.

"I wasn't playing music when the Muster first kicked off," he said.

Graeme will open the show at 4pm Friday after the official opening.

Music and laughter will continue almost non-stop until 7pm Sunday, when Graeme Connors closes the show.

Volunteers have been working hard preparing the site, and Fabian Webb says it is in perfect condition.
