GYMPIE VIEW Club will hold its monthly meeting at the Gympie RSL Club, Mary St on Friday, October 21 at 11am. As well as socialising and lunch, there will be an election of committee members for 2017. Social events such as coffee or craft mornings are held on a regular basis during the month. VIEW, which stands for the Voice, Interests and Education of Women and the organisation, supports The Smith Family in raising money to assist in Learning for Life Programs for school children in Australia. Handmade crafts, gift stall, bargain plants, lucky door prizes and quilt raffle. Admission $5 includes morning or afternoon tea. See the latest quilts that will be given to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital to comfort seriously ill children plus adult quilts for the Gympie Chemotherapy Ward.

COMBINED Coastal Car Club will host its annual Cooroy Car Show & Swap Meet at Johnson Park, Mary River Rd, Cooroy. Swap meet opens at 6am, car show opens to the public at 9am.
