Weekend bids boost price of photo

TIME is running out for your chance to be in a Broncos team photo.

The auction of a Broncos team photo signed by captain Sam Thaiday and coach Anthony Griffin, with you in it, is coming to a close.

The auction finishes noon this Friday, February 10, and is the chance of a lifetime which could see you in official team photo for the 2012 Broncos.

The Broncos are auctioning a place in the team's official photo to help raise funds for the Gympie Junior Rugby League development program headed by Darren Burns.

Burns said this was the first time anything like this had been offered to fans by the Broncos.

The highest bidder would get to meet him at the Broncos' Red Hill headquarters on Wednesday, February 15, to have the photo taken.

He said the highest bidder had to be available on the Wednesday because that's the only time the photos were taken. From there Burns would accompany the winner to the photo session and introduce them to the players.

"It is a great chance to get up close and personal with the Broncos, get a few signatures and some more photos," Burns said.

During the day the highest bidder will have their photo taken with the 2012 Broncos.

The one-off photo will be framed ready to take pride of place in their home, office or bar.

Burns said the photo experience would make a great present and, if it was bought for a child, the parent would get to go with them to meet the Broncos during the historic photo shoot.
