Editorial: We are happy and we know all about it

Editorial: RECENT surveys show country people, and especially those who live in small communities, are happier than their city counterparts.

It's no wonder, every time I go to the city, I can't wait to get back to Gympie.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy having a weekend in the big smoke but traffic, queues, over-the-top prices and even just paying for parking gets pretty annoying.

It makes me wonder why so many Gympie people complain about parking in town.

Parking in the city is a nightmare and you have to pay up $60 for the privilege.

It's no wonder city people are cranky.

The best thing about Gympie is we have the best of both worlds without the expense or the frustration.
