POLICE have been left shocked by a motorist busted doing 202kmh in an 80kmh section of the Warrego Hwy.

The road policing unit's motorcycle officer detected the speeding motorist on Sunday at 8.53am.

The vehicle, a white Jeep, had no front number plate and was travelling towards Brisbane.

A police statement read: "We should all be concerned about this sort of driving behaviour as it poses a risk to all us as road users and shows no consideration of others and a complete disregard for the Fatal Five.

"If you were around at the time of this offence and perhaps captured footage on your dash cam or know this vehicle, then please help keep us safe and report the information to police."

Darling Downs District Country Patrol Group acting inspector Julie Cooling said the vehicle had no front number plate and some writing on the front driver's side door.

It had a back number plate attached.

Insp. Cooling described the behaviour as disgraceful and socially unacceptable.

"We call upon the community to stop the ripple effect of such behaviour in our community and to assist us in making the community safer and to stop this person," she said.

"Police are very disappointed with the reckless actions of this driver."
