Warm the soul at Frozen in Time
THE theme might be a frosty one but the atmosphere at this year's Supporting Chemotherapy in Cooloola biennial ball will be anything but that.
There to make the mega charity event a hot success will be five-piece band Trace.
The band will be the feature entertainment at the SCIC ball, which will charm guests with a winter wonderland at the Civic Centre on July 12 as part of this year's theme Frozen in Time.
Dancing will be the name of the game when Trace takes to the stage with a range of covers - everything from Fleetwood Mac and The Jackson 5 to Jamiroquai and Rihanna.
With years of experience and appearances throughout Queensland and Australia, this loveable line-up, fronted by a dynamic female vocalist, will set the scene for another fun and energetic SCIC event.
But before Trace turns much of the Gympie Civic Centre into a dance floor, the Frozen in Time crowd can expect to laugh with a dynamic singing comedy duo offering a blend of music and interactive mayhem to bring the room together with tunes from Frank Sinatra, Dean Marin, Tom Jones and more.
SCIC ball committee president Alan Forman said party-goers at the strictly black-tie event should keep their smile wide for Gympie photographer Bambi Wixon, who will be taking formal photos at the cost of a small donation.
With tickets including a four-course meal by caterer Paul Jones, auctions and stunning decor by Marina Taylor, the night is set to be a big one.
Tickets are $100 a person, $40 of which will be a tax-deductible donation to SCIC.
They can be bought at Gympie Getaway Travel in Mary St. For more call Alan Forman on 5482 8300.
