Volunteer rewarded for dedication
JENNY Dyer from Cooloola Colour Graphics believes in recognizing and rewarding the work done by individuals in our community and regularly asks her clients for recommendations as to who best deserves to receive this public appreciation.
Naturally, Diana Harris's name was mentioned frequently as one of Little Haven's most recognisable and hardest-working volunteers.
Nearly every week you'll find Diana or a member of her team sitting quietly in a street or supermarket near you, selling tickets in a raffle to raise funds to help keep Little Haven services available to our community.
While Diana is very proud to receive such public recognition for her work, she attributes the ongoing success of her raffles to the hard work of her team.
“We are a good team and we have such a lot of fun,” Diana said.
“We all work together really well and enjoy doing whatever we can to help Little Haven, because Little Haven has helped so many of us at a time when we most needed it.”
Diana also wants to remind everyone that our current raffle will be drawn when Gympie celebrates the Melbourne Cup with our very own camel races, so you've only got until November 3 to buy that winning ticket from Diana or one of her team of Raffle Queens.
