Visit uni open day by free bus

GYMPIE region residents will be able to travel free by bus to the University of the Sunshine Coast's annual open day on Sunday.

The USC-funded bus will leave Gympie Centro Shopping Centre, at the bus stop on Excelsior Rd, at 8.45am sharp and arrive back in Gympie about 4.15pm.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Greg Hill said prospective students would be able to learn more about the university's new facility under construction at the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE campus in Gympie.

They also will learn about the courses to be offered next year.

Administrative staff will be available to discuss how to apply for study, scholarships and financial support, alternative pathways to study and the university's support services.

There will also be information about USC's global opportunities program and its award-winning head-start program that allowed Years 11 and 12 students to study university-level subjects.

Download the open day program at usc.edu.au/openday. Bus bookings were essential and could be made online.
