Vehicle rolls in wet weather at Mackay intersection

UPDATE 7.30AM: TWO occupants of a ute that rolled at the intersection of Hume St and Cemetery Road in West Mackay this morning were lucky to escape injury.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed they attended the accident and assessed one patient at the scene, however the patient declined treatment or transport to hospital.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services also attended, however no action was by the crew that responded.

The scene has been cleared.

BREAKING 6.45AM: EMERGENCY services are responding to reports a vehicle has rolled in West Mackay.

Initial information suggests a vehicle has rolled at the intersection of Hume St and Cemetery Road, trapping one person.

The vehicle is on its side at the crash scene and a man has managed to free himself from the vehicle, however a woman is stuck in the wreck.

Police are blocking off the road.
