Unhurt, but pair shaken after Rainbow Beach Rd accident

AN ELDERLY Maryborough couple where shaken but unharmed after an accident on Rainbow Beach Rd yesterday.

The couple were driving a white Ford Falcon, towing a camper van, when they lost control of their vehicle, about 2km from the Tin Can Bay Rd turnoff, at about 10am.

Despite the camper van rolling and remaining attached to the car, it stayed upright and ended up in a ditch on the opposite side of the road.

The pair had been heading off for a holiday at Rainbow Beach.

Tin Can Bay Senior Constable Kev Mayo said the female driver could not remember what happened but it looked as if no one was at fault. An investigation was continuing.
