Mother and son critical after being hit in driveway shock

A MAN has reversed his car into his wife and 14-year-old son, leaving them both critically injured and in hospital.

The crash on Tuesday night, which occurred on the driveway of a Woolloongabba home in Brisbane, is being treated by police as a tragic accident.
 

The 50-year-old woman is understood to have been trapped under the car, and had to be revived by paramedics, ABC News reports.

She was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital, while her son was taken to Lady Cilento.

The boy's injuries also included broken legs.

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
