Heat turning up for Melbourne Cup Day in Gympie

WITH the mercury heading for 34 degrees and a huge Melbourne Cup Day crowd expected trackside at the Gympie Turf Club, Gympie will be hot for the trots this afternoon.

Race fashionistas will be taking the temperature into account when choosing their outfits - broad-brimmed hats will no doubt be a great advantage.

Right on trend this year are the pinks, with fuchsia, baby pink, hot pink and salmon the colours of he season.

Hats and fascinators can make or break your outfit and finding the right headwear to fit the dress can be a challenge.
