Queensland boxing champ to be sentenced on 53 charges
TOOWOOMBA boxer Damien Hooper will likely be sentenced later this month on a string of serious charges.
Hooper sensationally had 10 Supreme Court charges dropped last month, but still remains behind bars on a total of 53 charges.
His time in custody meant Hooper was unable to fight in a scheduled defence of his WBO and IBF international light heavyweight titles in Sydney earlier this month.

The 26-year-old's raft of alleged offences, including 39 breaches of bail, stem from numerous incidents across 2018.
His solicitor Brad Skuse successfully had all his matters adjourned until July 27 for sentencing during a mention in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
Police allege he punched a police officer responding to a disturbance outside the Blue Mountain Hotel on May 19 before driving off at speed.

A warrant was then issued for his arrest, with officers eventually apprehending him in a Toowoomba service station on June 1 after an almost two-week man-hunt.
Officers accuse Hooper of violently resisting arrest after two officers sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
He was charged with seriously assaulting police after his apprehension, but has not yet been required to enter a plea to any of the alleged offences.
