Times still a-changin' for Dylan

SINGER-songwriter Bob Dylan has won the Nobel Prize for Literature - the first time it has gone to someone primarily seen as a musician. The 75-year-old has been honoured for "having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”. In 1964 in The Times They Are A-Changin', he told parents "your sons and your daughters are beyond your command”. It became an anthem of Vietnam War protests and the civil rights movement. Blowin' in the Wind and Like a Rolling Stone highlighted rebellion, dissent and independence.
