Thousands of children commit "sex crimes" on other kids

THOUSANDS of children are sexually attacking other kids, with new revelations suggesting the increase of "child-on-child" sex crimes has significantly increased since 2012.

News Corp reports that 3000 children attacked their peers in the past five years, with the crimes increasing 42% since 2012.

Of those, 140 of the aggressors were under the age of 11.

Police told the Daily Telegraph that children were being groomed by "perverts", who then carried out similar attacks on their friends, siblings or classmates.

It follows two 12-year-old boys being charged with the alleged rape of a six-year-old girl on Sydney's north in September.
