This Guy sure knows his pizza

GYMPIE Pizza Mogul Guy Perry, aka #gympiepizzaguy, is taking it to the nationals.

The week before the Gympie Show, Mr Perry was one of four runner-up "Moguls" to win a national award for the most active and creative Mogul pizza; The Mogul's Choice Badge.

The results are tabulated and awarded each week and attract a substantial cash bonus and free Electronic Media Coverage (EMC).

A week later, he won the Ultimate Mogul's Choice Badge - which translates as first place.

"The week of the Show, I sold over 1500 Mogul pizzas and got the Ultimate Mogul's Choice Badge," Mr Perry said.

"That meant I got free EMC and was featured in online advertising and emails that went out to all Dominos customers who have logged their email address online.

"That's more than 1000 people right there."

Mr Perry's pizza, the BBQ Mega Meatlovers, was featured in online and email advertising nation-wide for the entire week.

And that's not the full extent of his success.

For the night of the first Origin, Mr Perry was the "Mogul Street-Party Winner" and was awarded more than $200 worth of free pizzas.

"I got a chance to shout the neighbours with 20 pizzas," he said. "And the bonuses they give out are just insane.

"The secret to my success is by getting out there and getting known."
