The text 6000 cops at G20 probably didn't want to see
MORE than 6000 police working around the G20 summit in Brisbane have more than the safety of world leaders to worry about now.
Queensland Health has received reports of between 10 and 15 police officers who are experiencing gastroenteritis symptoms.
"It is not uncommon for reports of gastroenteritis when there are large gatherings of people, like that in Brisbane this week,'' the authority advised in a statement.
"Queensland Health is investigating and is working closely with Queensland Police Service to limit the spread of the illness and to locate its source.
"The QPS will be issuing a message to all police to provide health information to officers who may be affected."
It's been described by one media outlet as the text they did not want to receive.
Meanwhile, a huge media contingent is on hand to cover an Aboriginal rights protest in Brisbane ahead of the G20 summit.
