Teen charged with king-hit killing

POLICE have arrested a young rugby player over the Kings Cross bashing death oh NSW teenager Thomas Kelly.

The 18-year-old was tracked down at a football field in Sydney's west and taken to the Campsie Police Station where he was charged with murder.

He will front the Central Local Court today.

Thomas, 18, was allegedly king hit as he walked through Kings Cross on the night of Saturday, July 7.

He died in hospital two days later.

A memorial service will be held in his home town of Bowral tomorrow.
