Task Force Perpetual charges 43

POLICE have charged 43 people with 331 offences during a month-long crackdown on property and violent crime in south-east Queensland.

Task Force Perpetual was established on April 9 to investigate a spate of burglary, armed robbery and break-and-enter offences, including a theft that allegedly led to a police chase in which a young man was shot in the leg in Brisbane.

Most recently, police charged an 18-year-old Slacks Creek man with arson and unlawful use of motor vehicle and 20-year-old Meadowbrook man with 25 counts of enter premises, arson and six driving offences.

Investigations are continuing.
