Tapping into healing oils

MOVING from Brisbane to raise her children in a relaxed Gympie setting, Andrena Sullivan is feeling upbeat about her new business venture, Aroma Spirit.

Mrs Sullivan is a qualified aromatherapist and stockist of top-shelf aromatherapy products, holding a Certificate III in Aromatherapy Product Advisory Skills and Certificate IV in Aromatherapy.

These qualifications were obtained in June 2005 through the respected International Centre of Holistic Aromatherapy.

Taking on the business venture was a natural move for Mrs Sullivan.

"I love the individuality of tailor making a spray or oil specific to my clients' needs," she said.

"My passion is caring for others in this unique and creative way."

The businesswoman's previous employment in Brisbane involved working for a large aromatherapy company. It was this that ignited her passion for essential oils and caring for people.

Mrs Sullivan operates her business from her Southside residence and heads into town once a week on a Wednesday to practice in the Gympie Wellness Centre in Mary St.

Aroma Spirit offers a range of services including aromatherapy products and treatments (massage, readings, detox, foot and spa) in addition to custom-made products to address an individual's needs.

The business' product range initially started with three but has quickly grown to five.

Mrs Sullivan also plans to branch out into soaps and body washes that are sulphate and paraben free. For more information on Aroma Spirit, visit http://www.aromaspiritoils.com
