Tamworth win a big boost for Stephanie

WIDGEE'S darling of country music has returned from Tamworth with a boost of confidence and two awards to show for it.

Stephanie Ward-Wrigley, 14, was awarded first, second and third in three junior categories at the Manilla and District Country Music Association's Annual Talent Quest during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

She was also awarded senior runner-up in the Mount Franklin Kids Talent Quest and placed in the top 10 out of 40 contestants in Coca Cola Battle of the Youngstars.

As well as gaining plenty of experience performing around Tamworth during the festival, Ward-Wrigley sang live on Tamworth's local radio station and met country music stars Luke Dickens, Australia's best-known shearer, and The Wolfe Brothers.
