Suspicious blaze destroys Brisbane home, resident escapes

BRISBANE detectives are investigating a suspicious fire which destroyed a house in Cedar St, Greenslopes, Saturday night.

Police said the fire completely destroyed the home.

"An 83-year-old woman was at home at the time of the blaze but managed to escape without injury," police said in a statement.

"The fire is being treated as suspicious and a crime scene has been established.

"Investigations are continuing."
