Suspect coffee investigated

A SUSPECT package at the Gympie Nestle factory had Gympie police, ambulance and fire fighters busy yesterday for half an hour from 3pm.

But the package was simply a harmless tin of coffee returned by a consumer who claimed the seal was opened and the coffee smelt a little like paint thinners.

As part of Nestle policy Queensland Health and police were notified, which led to firies and ambulance attending the factory.

Police scenes of crime took the package for testing.
