Business survey focuses on confidence across region
THE seventh Gympie Region Business Confidence Survey opened yesterday, with a focus on scoping general business conditions and confidence across the entire region as well as taking a closer look at what competitive advantages the Gympie region offers businesses.
Deputy Mayor Tony Perrett encouraged local business to participate in, and benefit from, the biannual survey.
"The Gympie Region Business Confidence Survey started in 2010, and is now the most widely supported business tool in the region, with more than 20 business groups and government agencies involved," Cr Perrett said.
"It acts as a great barometer for business confidence, as well as an intelligence gathering tool for astute businesses and planners, which is why we want more businesses to get on board and complete the survey."
Cr Perrett said the survey's design meant all types and sizes of businesses can participate and share in the results.
"Using the results of each six-monthly survey, we can track trends in confidence levels across the region, as well as see what constraints and issues are relevant over time and how these fluctuate with what is going on nationally and globally," Cr Perrett said.
The anonymous online survey runs throughout May.
