Students Japan bound

GYMPIE State High’s Japanese students are busy packing for an early morning start tomorrow to catch a plane bound for Japan.

Twenty-one students will join teachers Geoff Haig, Sharon Buckland and Tracey Morrison on the 16-day trip.

Mr Haig said the school planned a trip to Japan every two years and this year students from Years 9-12 would make the journey to visit their sister school.

Students will catch the bullet train and visit Hiroshima and Kyoto on their way to Tokyo.

The students will spend four or five days in Tokyo and spend one day at Disneyland.

Mr Haig said the trip was a great way for students to improve on their Japanese.
