Stories unfold in small spaces

A STUNNING new exhibition has just opened at the Gympie Regional Gallery.

"Stories in Small Spaces: the power of the miniature" features small artworks representing thirty artists from the West End Studios in Brisbane which is operated by Adele Outteridge and Wim de Vos.

This exhibition showcases small works, through painting, collage, clay, found objects and other material.

The subject matter ranges from industrial to personal and environmental and examines how miniatures can be used as a small personal statement.

The exhibition will run until Saturday, February 20.

You will have an opportunity to meet the curators of this exhibition, Vim and Adele, on Friday, February 19 at 4.30pm at the gallery.

Vim De Vos will conduct a monoprinting workshop on Friday, February 19 from 9am-3.30pm or there is a Think inside the Box box-making workshop with Adele Outteridge on Saturday and Sunday, Febrauary 20 and 21 from 9am-3.30pm each day.
