Stolen sweeper

POLICE are appealing for information about a street sweeper stolen from near Corella and Fraser roads between February 19 and 26.

The council-owned sweeper is worth about $16,500. Council realised it was missing last month after an audit of their assets found the sweeper attachment (similar to pictured) was missing.

Police say council thought the sweeper was at another job site but has now reported it missing.

The Pacific Road, Model 34TI street sweeper, with serial number 1469, had a Gympie Regional Council decal and Plant Number 395 attached to its lower section.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Senior Constable Andy Lipke on 5480 1111 or call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
