Sticking up for girlfriend
One of the young men arrested was Sagze Moon Edwards, 18, who said he went to a party with his girlfriend and things got out of hand when an older man became aggressive.
Edwards said he became enraged when the man held a stick up to his girlfriend's face and threw a brick at her, and that was the reason police saw him running around throwing punches when they arrived.
He was charged with committing a public nuisance and the magistrate placed him on a good behaviour bond for six months.
Edwards, of Ruby Road, The Palms, was also before the court on August 24, charged with possession of dangerous drugs.
The court heard he was found with a small amount of cannabis in his possession and he was placed on a good behaviour bond for three months.
