Stephanie Scott inquiry looks overseas for answers

MARIE RACCANELLO

POLICE have widened an investigation overseas as they hunt for answers over Stephanie Scott's death.

Leeton High School cleaner Vincent Stanford, 24, has been arrested and charged over Ms Scott's murder. She was a teacher at the same school and had been missing for five days before her body was found in bushland.

It is believed Mr Stanford lived in Holland before moving to Leeton more than a year ago and police are seeking more information about his background including whether he had a criminal history.

Ms Scott's post-mortem was to start on Monday.
