DAN and Dani from the Channel 9's series, The Block, will be stopping in at Cooloola Mitre 10 and Sunshine Mitre 10 in Gympie on Friday.
All the action will get under way at 9am at Cooloola Cove with a sausage sizzle, giveaways, in-store demonstrations and more.
The Melbourne couple's visit to the Gympie region is part of The Block Roadshow tour to promote Mitre 10 by providing helpful tips of the trade to home renovators and trades people.
Dan and Dani are one of four couples renovating three-story terrace houses in the sought-after suburb of South Melbourne on reality renovation show, The Block.
When complete at the end of the series, the houses will be three storeys high with views of the city and will be auctioned with each couple keeping the profit made on their property.
In its fifth season, it's being called the toughest so far.
Dan, a carpenter, and Dani, a business analyst, recently bought their own apartment in Richmond, Victoria just around the corner from the last series of The Block. Dani has no renovation experience, while Dan's is confined to his carpentry trade which has seen him work on numerous restaurant renovations and shop fit-outs.
"We may not be the most experienced, but I reckon my creativity and willingness to learn, matched with Dan's carpentry knowledge and attention to detail, will be enough to get the job done," Dani said.
Cooloola Mitre 10 will host a garden bed construction competition for spectators to watch Dan and Dani battle it out against teams made up of Tin Can Bay Coast Guard volunteers, the army and school students.
Teams will compete to be the quickest in assembling a raised garden bed, which will be raffled on the day and proceeds donated to Tin Can Bay Coast Guard.
A jumping castle will entertain little children and there will be 20% off storewide while Dan and Dani are in the store.
If you miss them at Cooloola Cove, The Block contestants will be at Sunshine Mitre10 in Gympie from 11.30am to 12.30pm on Friday.

Mitre 10 safety tips:
- No matter how long your extension cable is, always unroll it fully before use. Using the cable when it's rolled on a cable drum or in a coil on the floor can cause it to heat up and possibly start to burn.
- Rags that have been used when working with vegetable oils such as linseed may self combust if they are thrown away while still moist and crushed up. Make sure you dry rags out completely before either getting rid of them or storing.
- If you think about it, a chemical that removes paint can't be very good if it gets on your skin or in your eyes. Wear protective clothing and goggles or safety glasses with side pieces, chemical resistant gloves, a respirator and of course work shoes when working with fast acting paint strippers.
