Squash juniors shine

JUNIOR squash held its finals on June 18. Results as follows:

A Grade

Stewart McPherson was on fire to defeat Anthony Hartley 2-1.

Ethan Dullard raced to an early lead and maintained the advantage to beat Joshua Hughes in all three games.

B Grade

Joel Hughes was in exceptional form to topple Morgan Parker, winning all three games.

Jamie Miller overcame Hayden Pearce 2-1.

A close match was staged between Lachlan Smith and Mia-Rose Bennet. Smith prevailed after winning the first two games, but Bennet salvaged respectability by claiming the last.

C Grade

Jordan Irwin defeated Mathias Hand 2-1.

Matthew Thorgood powered up to win against Matt Hogg 2-1.

Brandon Thorgood, meanwhile, was too strong for Joshua Hawke, winning all three games.

Irwin backed up in a second match against Kaden McClintock, winning 2-1.

D Grade

An epic battle between Oliver Kerr and Zach Hughes resulted in Hughes eventually winning 2-1.

Ethan Hawke defeated Jay Davidson 2-1.
