Splendour in the Grass sold out

SPLENDOUR in the Grass 2010 tickets sold out at around 2pm today.

Combined event-camping tickets sold out at midday and there were no event-only tickets left just two hours later.

Many fans were left fuming after the website for ticket vendor Moshtix went into meltdown on Thursday morning, preventing them from finalising their ticket purchases.

Earlier in the morning, a fake Twitter account was set-up claiming the event was already completely sold out.

‘We are overwhelmed by the demand for Splendour tickets ... we'd like to thank everyone for the continued support and for embracing the exciting changes taking place for our 10th birthday, it's going to be one super fun weekend," event producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco said.

From 31 May those who bought tickets but can no longer attend will have the option to offer them for re-sale so that those who didn’t secure a ticket in the general release have a chance to grab one.
