Special service blesses animals

TWO by two the animals were blessed on Sunday at Gympie's RSPCA.

The service left pets and their owners feeling the love on Sunday as Father Kevin Lewis led the proceedings.

Fr Lewis said pets gave us unconditional love and were a wonderful example of how to give love. The service is always held on the Sunday closest to St Francis Day (October 4).

RSPCA spokeswoman Evelyn Aldridge said it was a lovely sunny afternoon and a moving service and a good way to say thankyou to our pets for their love and loyalty.

"It was a wonderful service and we hope next year more of the general public will join us," Ms Aldridge said.
