JUST days away from concluding, business leaders from across the region are urging all business owners and managers to participate in the fifth online Gympie Region business confidence survey.

The biannual anonymous survey captures ideas and comments from all businesses and collates these into a public report that is the council and the business community.

Have your say by filling in the short online survey by the end of the week at either www.boardroombusiness.com.au/Gympie or via the Business and Industry Section of Gympie Regional Council's Website www.gympie.qld.gov.au.

Gympie Chamber of Commerce president Ben Ellingsen said many people in business had a lot to contribute when it came to improving how the local economy operated.

"We also look for relevant and timely information when making decisions in our business," Mr Ellingsen said.

"Completing the Business Confidence Survey is one way we can provide the feedback to our council it needs so that it can make appropriate decisions."

Heinke Butt, vice president of the Mary Valley Chamber of Commerce, agreed with Mr Ellingsen.

"I would encourage all business owners, large and small, including the agricultural sector, who are passionate about business growth as well as the economic growth of our region to complete the Business Confidence Survey," she said.

"It only takes a few minutes but is valuable information used by the council in making strategic decisions affecting the entire Gympie Region.

"The survey results are a valuable tool for businesses as well, to gauge the economic sentiment in our region.

Jeffrey Budden, the district manager of Suncorp Bank, said he always looked forward to getting the results of the Business Confidence Survey.

"The information in the survey gives me a good gauge on the business sentiment within my local community," he said.

All participants can go into the draw to win one of five $200 dining voucher.

The survey closes this Friday June 22.
