UPDATE: VIDEOS posted online have confirmed it did in fact snow in Toowoomba yesterday morning.

Angliss Meats Toowoomba shared the above CCTV footage of snow/sleet falling in Toowoomba in the early hours of Friday morning on Facebook.

Toowoomba resident Zac Waite contacted us with the below footage of snow/sleet captured on their security cameras yesterday morning in East Toowoomba. 

 

EARLIER: WEATHER watchers Higgins Storm Chasing is seeking confirmation about reports of snow in Toowoomba.

"8AM SNOW IN TOOWOOMBA?? We have reports can anyone confirm this!" Higgins tweeted.

Toowoomba woman Barbara McGovern wrote, "Evidence of sleet on Prince Henry Drive - very chilly and grey. Could we be that lucky!"

 

 

Widespread snowfalls have been recorded in the Stanthorpe area, but the Bureau of Meteorology says snow in Toowoomba is unlikely.
