Six decades of Oz music
NATIONALLY touring tribute band Aussie Rock of Ages Show will appear at Gympie's Heritage Theatre next Friday, January 25, for a special Australia Day show.
Performed by an international cast, this show will have the audience singing and dancing to the most popular Aussie anthems in Australian musical history.
As a special treat, comedian Damo will make a guest appearance with his hilarious stand-up routine. Described as being the "new wave" of occa Australian comedy, Damo is heavily influence by Rodney Rude, Kevin Bloody Wilson and Col Elliot. And the audience next Friday can be proud to call Damo a new local. To find out more, see his profile in tomorrow's edition of The Gympie Times.
Damo, a professional musician, is part of the touring band and other tribute shows that have appeared at Heritage Theatre.
He'll be one of six players on stage performing classic Aussie hits starting at the very beginning with the Johnny O'Keefe song Shout.
The show takes the audience on a journey of six decades of pure Australian music nostalgia with hits featuring bands like ACDC, Little River Band, Dragon, Hoodoo Gurus, Screaming, Jets, Powderfinger, Icehouse, Crowded House to name a few.
This show has been hailed "the ultimate Aussie tribute" and will leave audiences screaming for more at every performance.
Tickets are $48.
