Genius way Mackay business is jazzing up boring old coffee

Now picture your morning dose of caffeine in a waffle cone laced with chocolate.
Picture no more, a Mackay business has begun selling 'coffee in a cone' at their Paget based cafe.
"You have about 10 minutes before the cone starts to disintegrate, and believe you me, you'll drink it and eat it within that time," said Incredable business development officer Tammie Lewis.
"The combination, when the chocolate starts to melt, that's when it's the best."
Incredable Edibles, part of the Incredable Limited group in Mackay, say they are the first business to bring the idea to the region.
On Friday last week they received their first order of cones, and by Monday they had begun selling to the public.
It received mixed reviews on it's first official day of trading, but within the cafe, it's a winner.
Barista Chloe Sheehy said the best way to describe the new item was like having a cake with your coffee without having to buy the cake.
The decision to bring the unique craft to the business all happened pretty quickly, said Ms Lewis
About two weeks ago she came across the idea of coffee in a cone and "I wanted it, I searched it and it happened," she said.
So far, the newest item on the menu has been met with curiosity.
"The southern states are doing all of these exciting things with food and drink and we're a little bit behind, so I thought lets give it ago."
Ms Lewis has already begun looking towards the warmer months.
"Our thoughts were in Summer time, because this is a bit of a wintery thing, we could do an iced frappe or an iced coffee in the cone as well," she said.
Ms Lewis said the edible cones worked well with their war on waste, with the cafe also trying to promote the idea of customers bringing their own coffee cup.
