Shops get behind our Devils

THERE’S a real buzz in the air about Gympie, according to Devils Rugby League Club president Scott Dodt. And he says it’s all about the Devils final on Saturday.

With shop fronts decorated in team colours to cheer the boys on, Mr Dodt said people all over town have been asking about the Devils’ chances.

Bank of Queensland bank manager Jellina White is one business owner supporting the Devils.

“We sponsor the juniors and it is great to get behind a local team,” Mrs White said. “We haven’t had a team in the final for years, everyone needs to get behind them.”

Ross Groundwater and Ron Thorburn from Tyrepower are mad keen Devils fans and can’t wait for the final. They said it was great for the town to finally be in with a shot of winning the premiership.

Mr Dodt said the Devils still had plenty of room on buses if people wanted to come to the final in Nambour on Saturday.

“We need as many people as possible to cheer on the team,” he said.

“But we need to know by 5pm this afternoon to book the busses.”

Cost of the bus is $10 and anyone interested on coming along for the final against Nambour can phone Rebecca on 5483 7989 or 0414 582 444, or Scott on 0400 719 954 to book the bus.
