A THIEF armed with a shopping trolley went on a $15,000 Lego spree inside a Lismore toy shop over the weekend.
Just before dawn on Sunday, a man broke the lock on Toy Kingdom in Woodlark St and cleaned out the shop's Lego shelves.
CCTV footage from inside the store shows the thief entering the store four or five times and filling up his trolley with boxes of Lego on each trip.
The owners are appealing for potential witnesses who walked past Toy Kingdom between 5.10-5.50am on Sunday to come forward.
Toy store owner Carey Horner believes the theft was well-planned.
"He has come in with a shopping trolley and come in about four or five times with a torch," he said.
"Nowhere else was broken into (that morning) so it was a well planned job.
"It's like an invasion of privacy and a bit sickening to think someone could just do that.
"Lucky we have a good relationship with Lego so we will be restocked in two or three days."
Mr Horner said CCTV footage showed people, possibly a woman pushing a pram, walking past the shop front while the thief was inside.
He is appealing for these witnesses to contact police.
"Police have taken CCTV footage from the store and they will be checking the CBD security cameras," Mr Horner said.
