A BACKPACKER, 24, remains seriously ill in Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, after suffering major head and suspected spinal injuries in a fall early yesterday.

The man, 24, fell about 2.5m from a luggage trailer in Spectrum Street, shortly before 1am, according to a spokesperson for the AGL Action rescue Helicopter service.
